Name: Making TRACKs - Skilled Trades Youth Apprenticeships Regional Forums
Date: November 15, 2022
Time: 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM EST
Event Description:
The Associated General Contractors of Kentucky (AGC of Kentucky) and the Kentucky Department of Education’s Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE) invites you to Making TRACKs in the Skilled Trades Regional Forums to address the number one concern of employers…workforce. Attendees will learn more about developing talent by utilizing the untapped and sustainable pipeline of high school students concentrating in skilled trades career pathways.

This program is designed exclusively for employers and employer associations. Subject matter experts will clarify often misinterpreted, construction-specific child labor laws; outline the streamlined process and details of cooperative education placements, youth apprenticeships and pre-apprenticeships; demonstrate tools and strategies for connecting with technical education programs in their backyards, regions or across Kentucky; dispel perceived workers’ compensation insurance hurdles; and align employers with the appropriate state contacts to expand their workforce development footprint, leverage new and evolving resources, and promote careers in the trades. Employers and employer representatives will share their experiences, perspectives and best practices on how to best utilize the aforementioned resources.

This event is sponsored by AGC of Kentucky and includes a hot breakfast.
