A study of the planning and control of construction activities, resources, and costs.  Topics include critical path analysis/methodology, progress monitoring, schedule compression, schedule acceleration resource management, cost control and cash-flow projections.
 
Student Learning Outcomes:
To create a learning environment whereby a student becomes able to:
 
A. Schedule construction projects manually and through the use of common scheduling software.
B. Manage project resources for optimum usage, using common metrics.
C. Control project costs by applying proper techniques and procurement practices.
D. Assemble construction project budgets and make cash flow projections.
E.  Recognize the need for documenting project productivity as well as tracking costs.
F.  Recognize over/under-runs and their significance on monthly job cost reports.
G.  Prepare monthly progress estimates for work-in-place (WIP) and billing.
H.   Present a project schedule to facilitate a keen understanding of scheduling principles.
