We are taking the market and expanding the market for custom framing, all while building a beloved brand associated with celebrating the best moments in life. In order to fulfill our mission, we have to build a great team across a number of disciplines – ecommerce, retail, design, and manufacturing. We are a consumer business operating online and in our many retail stores (DC, NYC, Boston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Chicago) – and growing. We operate two manufacturing facilities in Lexington, KY and Moorestown, NJ that allow us to deliver a high-quality custom product at an affordable price with a quick turnaround. We exist, grow, and ultimately own the market by delighting customers who trust and value us. WHO YOU ARE: The Operations Manager plans, develops, and leads a team within the Framebridge manufacturing business to excel in the areas of safety, quality, and customer deliveries. The Manager is accountable for developing and installing consistent assembly and material flow processes within their areas of responsibility. The processes and workflows will drive very high levels of safety, quality yields, and deliveries based upon customer order dates. The Operations Manager will develop their team to ensure that goals are met consistently. The Manager will communicate cooperatively across the organization to ensure the business performs at the highest levels. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Accept continuous improvement as a value of the organization and be responsible for identifying performance Drive improvement in processes through Kaizen events that lead to improved performance. Establish annual personal goals and objectives. Determine career plans for each departmental employee based on capability. Lead an environment driven to achieve business results. Establish a training and certification process for each job on the team. Encourage teamwork, cooperation, and ownership. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Degree in Business or Engineering. Experience in Lean and / or Six Sigma Expertise in leading an assembly operation. 5 plus years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Experience in delivering performance management feedback Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement activities. PREFERRED SKILLS: Lean Certified, or Six Sigma Black Belt, or similar experience (Toyota Production System, etc.) Proficiency leading and advancing a CNC machining environment Experience in a fast-paced consumer business TRAVEL: 25% EXPECTED OUTCOMES: The leader will drive business results through a respect for people. The leader will drive a complete ownership of results. The first pass quality yields for the business will be consistently approaching 100 percent. The organization will deliver consistently around 100% on-time to SLA / schedule. The organization will be focused on goal attainment. Employees will be cohesive, motivated, and engaged, with a focus on business priorities. Problems will be viewed as opportunities, each with a structured plan for improvement. Improvement gains will be executed through kaizen events. Decision-making will be based in data-analysis.
