Job Summary:
We are searching for a full-time TECHNICAL SALESPERSON to add to our sales team to handle the day-to-day support of the sales team, including quoting equipment, systems, and parts; supporting ongoing projects via regular communication with partners, contractors, and customers; offering technical guidance and troubleshooting services; and supplying applications engineering and field service support to customers and the CEC team as required. The position is expected to require local travel occasionally, amounting to approximately 20%.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prospect new business by keeping in close contact with key Engineer firms in the market for new construction, mining, re-modeling, institutional projects; as well as keeping up to date on public/private tender • Execute on the tactical marketing and prospecting plan as directed by the Marketing and Sales Managers • Provide input in the development of standard marketing tools to educate the client on the company's products, services and strengths. • Log all activity with customers and provide feedback to the team. Schedule follow-up for active opportunities in the pipeline and maintain accurate and up to date contact information. • Identify new business opportunities and make recommendations to the Sales Manager on their profit potential. • Problem solving through research, site visits, project specifications, and by working with engineers, contractors, Outside Sales Manager, and other individuals leading our clients projects • Provide bidding contractors with quotes, equipment specifications, and expert knowledge during the bid/tender process to aid contractors in winning business • Prepare submittal packages for engineers and other client/user groups ultimately leading to more closed sales • Work with the Sales Manager to negotiate contract terms with customers to close sales by providing recommendations, insights, and other relevant information for writing the contract terms on large-scale projects • Prepare for, attend and participate in weekly sales and company meetings including coming with written thoughts on how best to overcome or pre-empt the issues or objections on the agenda • Occasional travel to prospects, clients and operating locations

Skills and Qualifications:
• Industrial Ventilation Industry experience or HVAC knowledge would be an asset • Technical degree (2 or 4 year) and / or equivalent work experience • Knowledge of professional selling and the ability to handle difficult, competitive selling situations • Ability to assess accounts and provide viable cost effective solutions for clients • Ability to effectively present information and negotiate with various levels of management. • Strong communication, organizational and time-management skills • Proficiency with MS Office applications required • Experience with CRM software an asset
