Estimator (Lexington)

Churchill McGee LLC, a respected general contractor specializing in light commercial construction, has an immediate opening for an Estimator to lead our expanding work in the Central Kentucky area.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Estimate costs for commercial construction projects.
• Create and submit competitive bids on time.
• Schedule project steps and budget time to meet deadlines. 
• Analyze project specs, drawings, and documentation for cost estimates. 
• Identify and communicate risks and opportunities. 
• Collaborate with project managers for estimate accuracy. 
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. 
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits for information. 
• Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Prepare and negotiate contracts with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
• Proficient in construction estimating software.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Education and Other Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• OSHA 10 certification (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and own transportation required.
